South Hampton Publick House

Brief History

The Southampton Publick House, located in Southampton Village on

the site of historic "Herb McCarthy's Bowden Square", was

established in July 1996 as the first and only Microbrewery/

Restaurant on the East End of Long Island. Phil Markowski,

a respected veteran East Coast Brewmaster from Connecticut,

was recruited to handle the brewing.

Southampton Secret Ale     Our special secret Alt beer, a copper-brown colored north German ale with a malty flavor and a refreshing hop bitterness. BRONZE MEDAL WINNER at the 2002 Great American Beer Festival!   Double White Ale     Our unique "double strength" version of classic Belgian White ale. Lightly flavored with Curacao Orange peel and coriander seed, our Double White is deceptively strong at 6.8% alcohol.
